The Man Who Made Wine
Sept. 16th 2011
I like to add a wine related post from time to time. Here's a fun find I stumbled across a few years back.
A new wine quote to add to the list:
"Little wine, be good. You are about to mix with the blood of a brave man."
From the story of one mans love and life along side his vines and wine.
Also from the book:
"If those knobbly old vine stocks with the delicate roots which reached so far down - if they could talk they could say something worth listening to. Vines were so much more sensitive than men. "
"Vines could not be cheated. They were the masters and men the servants. Men could understand only when the fruit had been translated into wine - and then it often took years to appreciate the subtleties."

FRIDAY DIY
LUNCH BOX NAPKIN
1. HANDKERCHIEF
2. DIVIDE INTO EQUAL SQUARES.
I CUT MINE INTO 6 3/4 INCH SQUARES.
JUST A LITTLE BIGGER THAN A COCKTAIL NAPKIN.
3. SEW TWO PEICES TOGETHER.
THESE CAN BE MADE IN A SINGLE LAYER TOO.
CUTTING THE SIZE I DID AND DOUBLE
LAYERING ALLOWS FOR 4 AND 1 SINGLE.
4. FINISH THE EDGES WITH SOME EMBROIDERY THREAD.
PERFECT SIZE FOR THE LUNCH BOX.
NO MORE TRASHING A NAPKIN A DAY.
MY GIRLS AND I LOVE THEM!
I HOPE YOU DO TOO!

EGG CARTON RECYCLING
We all have them so what's the next step?
I tend to recycle the paper ones or reuse them for painting pallets. I was curious what others have been doing with theirs. I was a little sad not to find better results for styrofoam cartons. Please please post any ideas you have for these. I would really like to see some useful ideas not just the kids crafts. As cute as those can be I'm pretty sure most of them go to the trash before too long.
Here are my results. Hope this inspires you to try something new with yours.
Happy Crafting!
